Here is the Orthographic views of mah Knife.
Story
The story for my knife is that when the mouse is racing around the track, there will be bobby traps where the knife hangs by a rope and swings to and fro across the track cutting anything that is racing down the track. The mouse is racing down the track when he sees the big knife swinging around, and tries its best to avoid the knife but it looks like he is going to be cut to pieces. The mouse tries to speed up to avoid the swinging knife, But the knife lunges down towards the mouse, But lucky for him it only shaved off a few strands of hair off the mouse racer’s back.
Shape
The most hardest part of making my Karambit Knife is the probably the curved blade. Maybe because the blade is curved and there are somewhat intricate serrations on the cutting edge of the blade. Second hardest thing is probably the hilt/cover of the knife, because it is made up of two side, and not as a whole body. The spine of the blade also has a circular gear-like shape with fairly fine teeth for the thumb to rest snugly on the spine of the knife. The textured rubber on the hilt has a crisscross pattern and has bumps and drops.
Research
There are a few ways to go about making my model. If it’s possible, I want to make the different parts separately and combine everything after I finish all the different parts. Since the most curviest part of the Knife is the blade and the serrations, I will priorities it’s research more.
here’s a link that demonstrates the process of making curvy objects coupled with several illustrations.
Here is the wireframe image.
